A little bit about Aurora Restaurant
Aurora Restaurant is Hokitika’s newest establishment, bringing fresh and modern cuisine together with a relaxing dining experience. We pride ourselves on creating delicious gourmet dishes, made with only the freshest ingredients delivered to the restaurant daily. We are open for dining from breakfast to late nights, every day, and we have multiple menus tailored to different times, so there should always be something on the menu to pique your interest.
Our menu focuses not only on tried and true classics like succulent steaks and tender marinated lamb, and seafood options like crunchy calamari, steamed Marlborough mussels and crispy skin salmon. Our dessert menu features dishes suited to your tastes such as the rich chocolate mousse cheesecake or a lighter lemon tart, which is served with a smooth berry sorbet. We stock a wide range of beverages to match our dishes, including the Monteiths range of beers and cider, and wines from popular New Zealand brands like Brancott Estate and Montana. We also have champagne on hand for your special occasion, and many other beverages including spirits and non-alcoholic options.
We are proud to be serving customers using the best ingredients from renowned brands such as beverages from the local Monteiths brand and Pernod Ricard range of fine wines, premium fair trade organic coffee from Tuatara, and quality ingredients from Harris Meats and Barrys Bay Cheese.
